Terms of Service
Last updated June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Frugl, a hosted service that analyzes anonymized AI coding sessions to surface token waste and help your team use AI assistants more effectively. By signing in or otherwise using Frugl, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Frugl on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
The service
Frugl ingests session data uploaded by the Frugl CLI, parses it into a canonical store, and presents analysis, recommendations, and reporting in the Frugl web app. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub, Google, or a one-time email code. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Your data
Sessions are anonymized by the Frugl CLI on your own machine before any byte is uploaded. You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us the rights needed to store, process, and display that content to provide the service to you and your organization. We do not train models on your sessions. See the Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload data you do not have the right to share, or that has not been anonymized.
- Attempt to access other organizations' data or circumvent tenant isolation.
- Probe, scan, or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
- Reverse engineer the service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Intellectual property
Frugl, including the web app and the analysis it produces, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, logos, or branding. The Frugl CLI is distributed as open source under its own license; your use of the CLI is governed by that license, not by these Terms.
Third-party services
Frugl relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, and related infrastructure. Your use of those services through Frugl may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
Plans and billing
Paid plans, where applicable, are billed in advance and described at the point of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We will give reasonable notice before any change to pricing takes effect.
Termination
You may stop using Frugl at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may request export or deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
Frugl is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Recommendations are informational and do not guarantee any particular cost savings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frugl will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and costs arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your uploading of data you did not have the right to share.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
